Here we have an older Atlas Torpedo Tube GP9. These came out many moons ago, and they represent the SP GP9's that were used in commuter service. Having the air reservoirs on top of the long hood makes them stand out when lashed up with other GP9s, so I had to get one. There are a few issues with this loco, one being the handrails and trucks are an off grey compared to the rest of the loco. That was changed with spraying of Modelflex paint. The other issue that I will have to look the other way on is the red wing on the rear of the long hood. When these were renumbered and went into general service, the rear red wing was painted out, leaving only the short hood wing. Compromise! All in all, this was a fun little loco to detail up.
