Up this time is a run of the mill Kato ex snoot nose. Santa Fe had a bunch of -2's so finding pictures online was a breeze. This loco started out with a snoot nose, but that was replaced with a stock Kato SD40 nose. The 40 noses have the ratchet brake but the -2's have a brake wheel. I used some styrene and built the brake wheel assembly while at the same time covering up the inset ratchet brake. The anticlimber was cut off an Atlas SD60 walkway/sill and spliced on the front. BLMA walkway tread was placed on the top. The handrails across the nose were trimmed up and placed on top of the anticlimber. This is incorrect for ATSF -2's but I wasn't going to try to bend my own handrails and use some GMM stanchions. Maybe in the future.
Details include:
BLMA cut levers, MU hoses, air hoses, sunshades, lift rings, rear view mirrors, windshield wipers, AC unit, beacon stand and antenna stand
NSN horn
Beacon from Wuttermelon on shapeways
Sunrise Enterprises plow
Microscale decals
modified Kato couplers
painted walkway, step ends and inner truck assembly
Lenz 0511 decoder
